Monaco, the playground of the rich and famous, is where Edward Davenport has his home. Those grand surroundings typify his glamourous lifestyle; there is nowhere else in the world like Monaco, no other place can match its combination of seven centuries of Royal history, cultural status, wealthy inhabitants and visitors, not to mention its location on the stunning Riviera.

Monaco is set on the Mediterranean coast of France just a few miles from the Italian border. The country is blessed with spectacular natural scenery as it is made up of a narrow ribbon of coastline backed by the Alpes-Maritimes foothills, creating a beautiful natural amphitheatre overlooking the sea, where an amazing selection of millionaires’ yachts bask in the warm water.

As befits its status as the world leader in glamour and money, Monaco is one of the most expensive and chic places on earth. The glamour and prestige associated with Monaco and its uniquely style conscious people can be seen in the amazing number of high class cars, designer fashion boutiques and fine restaurants it boasts.

It is, therefore, little wonder that Edward Davenport is now based there. Having been a regular visitor since the age of 21, Edward Davenport has had his main, private office there since for the past decade. Now an established presence in Monaco, he has made connections at the highest levels there after helping the Consulate with property acquisitions and attending events with the likes of Crown Prince Albert.
Edward Davenport and Prince Albert

Monaco is a constitutional monarchy and covers an area of just under two square kilometres (0.75 square miles) making it the second smallest independent state in the world after the Vatican. Much of Monaco’s economy is driven by its status as a major banking centre which closely guards the privacy of its clients. Monaco also boasts a strong tourism industry – gamblers flock to the Place du Casino in Monte Carlo and every may the principality hosts the Monaco Grand Prix. It is known as the venue for world-renowned events such as Fashion Rocks.

Monaco’s Royal dynasty, the Grimaldi family, is inseparable from the country’s existence. The family made world headlines in 1956 when the former monarch Prince Rainier III married the American film star Grace Kelly.

Today, Monaco is a vibrant, stylish city where some of the world’s richest people work and play.
