Regardless of the credit crunch yesterday I pledged to give away £50,000 of my own money to 5 charities specialising in kidney research. Last night I presented £10,000 to South West Thames Kidney Fund at The House of Lords. Max Clifford and I presented the cheque to Dr Jonathan Kwan at the beginning of the reception. The evening was attended by The Rt. Hon. the Lord Rix, The Rt. Hon. Lord Rogers, The Mayor and Mayoress of Sutton and TV celebrities such as Theo Paphitis (Dragen's Den).
